the BIG DOGS
This is the squadron of GM 2.0 Echotech racers. They have hopped up their naturally aspirated ride, with nitros and E-85. This got them a fuel record. They tried some pump gas, but they didn't bust the 152 record. Thats the one the Speedwagen is building for (G/GCC). The HHR crashed, but the driver walked away AOK. These are some mean little machines.

VolksCast Radio Visit
We had a visit this evening from Ray Iddings, the "VOICE" of VolksCast Radio. We had a good time motor mouth'in about the Speedwagen and land speed racing. And to top it off he loaned us a trick BERG shifter that he got from Clyde,as a gift. We hope to get some salt plus a world land speed record on it for him. I'm not sure I followed the mounting directions correctly. I better read them over. Check out VolksCast Radio on Tuesday night for a show about the Speedwagen (how stink'in cool)http://www.richchristensen.com/radio/volkscast.php

Speedwagen "BRAINS"
The "BRAINS" for the Speedwagen is a LINK engine management module. The Buggy guys use these a lot. They have a PLUS module that has more "handles" on it for more sophisticated tuning. If this doesn't get-r-done, then Santa can bring us a Modec! (and a Dyno) . Check out the old guy gang sign on the noggin above.

MOON BASE SPEEDWAGEN
The SPEEDWAGEN now has 2 Moons in orbit around the shop, Thanks to Wageneer Jungle Jim Burke, who blew in the shop today from up Windy City way. This is just what the Speed Doctor ordered for shoeing the Wagen in style. This is the first set of Moons that I have had since "65". These bad boys were on the the back of my "36" pick-up. They kid on the roof is now 40 or so years old,I was supposed to be watchin lil Mikey--but instead we worked on my truck together. --check out the passenger car dog house. I used to tell people it was a 36 Ford Ranchero (some believed it)
