Not for Girlie Men

This is a TOP SECRET formula for getting "grease monkey" hands cleaned up, to go out court'in. A first pass with Fast Orange to get the big chunk's off. Then rinse and pour on the Boraxo and scrub like crazy. Rinse and re-Boraxo as required. Then finish off your paws with a good Lava knuckle scrubb'in. Acute conditions may require a knuckle scrub brush. You might be a RED NECK if you have BORAXO in your shower instead of a bar of soap. This is my personal opinion, not a official Speedwagen statement---but I think Boraxo is the "Vice Grip" of hand cleaners. I have even wondered if it might be a good teeth whitener. Warning about GOJO hand cleaner. If you don't rinse good you have a GOJO musk that will cause the lady's to do tribal dancing to get your attention---beware of GOJO, I lost many a good friend to its snare.

More new STUFF

News Bulletin: Saturday Jim and Garry took the ancient trade route to Buggy Works, and brought back some new parts for the Speedwagen. It was like Goldie Locks and the 3 Bears when they did their "test sit". They stuck their Levis into every seat that was available. Some were this size, some were that size, but one was just right!(and wide). In the buying frenzy they grabbed a padded cover, a Jamar side shifter gizmo, a bag full of Tabs and gussets for the chassis, a stack of tig welding rods, and a headlight knob for "Bugzilla". We failed to report that Bugzilla was injured when Garry let his drop light rest against the rubber knob for the headlight switch. He was once again punished by taking away his Harbor Freight sale catalog.

Warp Drive Test

We have been experimenting with a Klingon warp drive unit that we got off of e-bay. This may be a little difficult to get through tech inspection, so we are looking for a cloaking device to mask the drive. They may make us pit in area 51 if we get to obnoxious.

speed week 2006

If you want to keep track with the runs at Bonnevile during speed week, here is a link to the SCTA web site. there are pictures and times posted daily during the event. We will be keeping an eye on the G/GCC class to see if a new record is set. http://www.scta-bni.org/

Welded "Hind End"

Well the frame rails are welded to the torsion tube, so now its time to stick the engine and tranny on the back. We had Brad at BC Race Cars tig the parts together. This is on set of welds that we couldn't risk having "bubble gum" in . J.W. Fiddled everything into position so that the thing will go straight. The wheel base ended up being 115.5 inches compared to 94.5 for a stock bug.

300 mph land speed racing tires

That chomping sound you hear is Iggie the shop mascot, acting like a Goodyear Tire supplier. We couldn't find any Z rated tires that were the correct diameter and width. So we had to belly up to the cash register and have a root canal done on our billfold. The sources for Land Speed Tires has boiled down to Goodyear as the sole supplier for land speed racing tires. We considered using front runner drag tires, but the suppliers of those type tires advised us against using them at Bonneville. Just in case you want some of these boots for your cruiser, better call soon. Goodyear only does a "once a year"limited run of these tires. We have considered offering sponsor opportunities for those Speedwagen fans who would like to send a TIRE to Bonneville. Imagine how impressed people would be when they hear that a Speedwagen tire had their name on it. This opportunity may be extended to people other than those named EAGLE . GOODYEAR RACE TIRES
